India-Pakistan Ceasefire Update: Indian Team Heads to U.N. with Proof of Pahalgam Terror Attack

India has pledged to take strong action against terrorists and their supporters, launching Operation Sindoor on May 7, targeting terror sites at nine locations in Pakistan and PoK.

In a major diplomatic move, an Indian technical team has arrived in New York to present solid evidence related to the recent Pahalgam terror attack. The team will submit its findings to the Monitoring Team of the United Nations’ 1267 Sanctions Committee — the body responsible for designating global terrorist groups and individuals.

Official sources confirmed on Wednesday, May 14, that the evidence aims to push for further global action against those behind the brutal attack, which claimed the lives of 26 civilians, including tourists, in Jammu and Kashmir last month.

Tensions between India and Pakistan have been on the rise since the Pahalgam attack, especially after India’s strong military response through Operation Sindoor. The Defence Ministry highlighted on Wednesday that the operation not only neutralized multiple terror camps in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) but also demonstrated India’s growing military precision and technological edge — all without crossing international borders.

In a related development, Turkey’s open support for Pakistan has stirred reactions within India. Several Indian educational institutions, including Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), have either suspended or are reconsidering their academic partnerships with Turkish universities, officials said.

As India takes the diplomatic and military route to address cross-border terrorism, global attention is now firmly on the evidence it is set to present at the U.N.
