Operation Sindoor Updates: India Attacks 9 Terror Camps In Pakistan, PM Postpones Euro Visit
A total of nine locations were targeted, as stated by the Ministry of Defence.

In the early hours of Wednesday, the Indian armed forces launched 24 precision missile strikes targeting nine terrorist locations in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK). Key areas hit included Muridke and Bahawalpur, known strongholds of Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed. The operation reportedly led to the deaths of over 70 terrorists and left more than 60 injured, severely disrupting the operational strength of these terror groups.
The strikes took place at 1:44 AM and were a direct retaliation for the April 22 terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Anantnag district of Jammu & Kashmir, which resulted in the deaths of 26 people, including 25 Indian nationals and one Nepali citizen.
According to an official statement by the Ministry of Defence, the attacks specifically targeted terror infrastructure in Pakistan and PoK, from where attacks on Indian soil were allegedly being orchestrated. The Ministry emphasized that the strikes were precise, restrained, and designed to avoid escalation, clarifying that no Pakistani military sites were struck during the operation.
The government reaffirmed its resolve to hold those behind the Pahalgam attack accountable, maintaining that India has shown remarkable restraint in how it chose the targets and conducted the mission.
These airstrikes were launched just hours before a nationwide civil defence drill planned across 244 districts to prepare for potential hostile threats. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has firmly declared that those behind the attack, and everyone involved in the planning, will be chased to the “ends of the earth” and punished in ways that go “beyond their imagination.”
